When I was last here in April, it was a very tiny space with only room to walk in and no place to sit. No longer...
In the months since then, they've expanded and now have plenty of table space plus a long bar/counter where you can sit and enjoy your donuts and coffee near the flat screen. On the walls were paintings by a local artist that TC enjoyed looking at. The owner was there (he is so very nice); his daughter was the one who rang us up.

Yes, it has begun, the proliferation of pumpkin flavored everything, donuts included.

While I am not a pumpkin fan, I did order a pumpkin spice malasada for Bert! In retrospect, I should have ordered that pumpkin pie donut as wel.
Below, the green check marks indicate which malasada flavors are available that day. Sadly, no lilikoi or haupia. It was nice to see blueberry on there but they didn't have that either. I got one of each flavor plus an extra mango per TC's request.

I love that these are small and not humongous. A small bite or two is all you really need instead of the normal giant sized ones.

They had crullers here!

Raspberry cruller, chocolate old fashioned (this was more 'oval' and had no edges), plain glazed, maple bacon, chocolate and caramel cruller and blueberry frosted.

The crullers were nice and light. Bert enjoyed his maple bacon. The blueberry frosting was very sugary. I wished the donut itself was blueberry but it wasn't.

The malasadas once more...

This was my favorite of the bunch:

Remember, they only do the Bobby O. filled donut on the weekend. Sadly, this was not a weekend, so I'll have to file that away in the memory bank for next time. For the record, each malasada was great. We liked the mango ones the best. Next time, it's the haupia and blueberry for me (if it's available and I hope it will be)...

Thanks for sending me the pictures about this one! It's been on my mind to go so I could try the malasadas! The cruellers look good, too, it's nice to see them with different frostings on top. Nice find!
You're welcome! Thanks for sending me your pix of your finds here in SD as well as on the road. That's why I love about having foodbloggers as friends. We share our recommendations. :)
I don't like soy milk. At all. I don't know if I could dip that Chinese donut in there. Maybe in chocolate, but not soy milk.
You would like this donut place. It's nice that it's bigger now too. If you go on the weekends, then the Bobby O donut is available (it's like a Boston cream donut but with chocolate and macadamia nuts on top).
