Yesterday I met up with Mr. TJ and a former student...

afterhaving a few appetizers and a Kir Royale at his place...

we headed out to Happy Hour at a place of Mr. TJ's choice...

Bert's Birthday Dinner @ Sea 180 Coastal Tavern + a sunset at the IB Pier

It was a rare occasion for all of us to be out on a week night, a school night if you will...

The main reason for our outing in Imperial Beach today was to celebrate Bert's birthday.

We were able to make it with ten minutes to spare before Happy Hour ended, ha ha...

Plan B - Gunco since Naruto was closed

Since Naruto was closed until lSept. 13, Bert and I went to our "go to" Japanese place in CV...

Even though it says Kanpai, we were at Gunco...

Friday night was date night...

TC was at a youth group retreat and after dropping her off, we headed to the dreaded Gaslamp Quarter.

Crappy sea salt coffee from Tastea Grill + a revisit to Hogetsu & Gunco

Earlier this afternoon, we did a few errands in the Otay Ranch area. I wanted to stop by Tastea Grill for a sea salt coffee, as advertised on one of their window flyers...

The last time I was here and asked for a sea salt coffee, the girl said to "come back later" because the person who made it wasn't there which kind of irked me since I'm of the belief that everyone who works the front should be able to make every drink they offer. Is that so unreasonable? But griping aside, I thought I would try my luck today...

Guncotton? Gunco Ramen once more...

Last night I didn't feel like cooking and TC was craving Japanese food so...
