This past weekend was spent with my good friends, the Educator GF's...

We did miss TORC who had family business to attend to, but ended up visiting her later that afternoon.

Our first stop was coffee. We were bad and parked across the street in the soon to be vacated stripmall.

Now wowed by my first time here, I wanted to give Communal Coffee another chance...

I'm a big proponent of maximizing time spent whenever we travel.  The Micheltorena Stairs was across the street from this particular coffee shop. Kill two birds with one stone.

I kind of cringed when I saw that one of their walls was decorated with a passe design...

I much prefer the quiet neighborhood vibe rather than the hustle and bustle of the city itself...

From what I've read, the neighborhood is in the process of gentrification.

But rather than get into a political debate of its merits or downfalls, I'll just focus on the coffee...
