After lunch at Tambayan, D and I headed up north...

we would have coffee but first, the French Oven...

Antojate Ice Cream

A few days ago, we went out to dinner with TC and the boyfriend...

and for dessert, tried this new ice cream place in National City...

but it wasn't that big of a deal especially since we would be seeing our good friend, Thane...

we made the short trek to a fairly new bakery...

I'm all for trying new places especially during our road trips, so...

I was so intrigued by the military latte the month before...

so we were here again but this time with TC...

We made it through the rain...to Pasadena - Pho Banh Mi Che Cali, Cafe 86 and Copa Vida

The weather when we left San Diego was relatively decent, albeit cloudy with an impending storm.

It wasn't until later in the afternoon that the rain started barreling in...

Blackmarket Bakery

The signage at the corner of 30th and Adams had been there since late 2015...

In early fall, Bert and I went to check out Blackmarket Bakery...

They were supposed to be in "soft opening" stage (early October) but in fact, were not open that early in the morning despite posted hours on their site. They would be opening later in the week, they said...
