Return to Andytown Coffee Roasters

Over by 43rd and Lawton...

was one of our favorite coffee roasters...

If we lived in this neighborhood, we'd be here all the time.  It was at Andytown where we first had coffee soda (the Snowy Plover) and one of the best scones we've had.  This time, we already had our pastries, thanks to Pineapple King.  We liked the coffee beans so much here that I've ordered them online several times not just for us, but also to give as gifts to friends.

Our trio of drinks enjoyed outside:

Bert's macchiato - very smooth and rich this was.

TC's hot chocolate - this was one of the prettiest I've ever seen and also one of the best tasting.

The drink I'd been coveting for more than a year, the Snowy Plover, named after a small local bird that lives near the beaches. Sparkling water with a couple of shots of espresso, simple syrup and house made whipped cream. Our first coffee soda and oh so memorable. I normally don't like whipped cream at all, but I make the exception with this drink.

Look at those layers...

Our preferred place to stay...

It's not in the city and it's not a fancy place at all, but it's near the L-Taraval Streetcar terminal and close to the beach (OB). The owners and their staff are also quite nice.

Return to Pineapple King and this last post!

We were so $%#@ tired from the day.  Bert and TC did a quick walk over to OB, just a few blocks away while I stayed in to veg out. Dinner was spent in our room since we had a lot of leftover Thai food from lunch. Exciting, right. But hey...we would have lots more to see and do the following day.
