It was the Philz in Burlingame that we visited during our Spring Break...
At least for me, Philz is known for the mint mojito coffee drinks. The only other place that makes something similar in San Diego is Better Buzz. It was pretty busy inside but the line moved pretty quickly.

Although the drinks look the same, one was an iced mint mojito coffee and the other was an iced chai (for TC) which we enjoyed outside while people watching.

They didn't pack the cup with mint like they did in Berkeley which Bert liked. He didn't like the idea of too much mint taking up what could be valuable coffee space, ha ha.
On our drive back, we noticed parasailers (not seen in this photo). I texted one to Cathy of mmm-yoso and she replied that two paragliders collided near Torrey Pines that same day.

The day before, a Hornblower ship ran into the dock in San Diego, which made the news even in SF.

There he is, that speck on the left above. A parasailer. There were quite a few out that da.
The Great Highway is quite picturesque.

The city block near our motel that was demolished to make way for a new development.

A cool mosaic sculpture on the Great Highway...

Although we didn't spend too much time downtown, I made a mental note of exploring more for a future road trip. I know it's not as exciting as downtown SF but for me, it's much more interesting visiting the smaller cities around SF. So, we would now head back to the Parkside neighborhood to relax and also take a ride on the Taraval streetcar once again.
