Cortina's

Blogger sux today.

Okay, here goes, for the THIRD TIME. I'll put in my hyperlinks later. Dammit.

After getting picked up at the airport by C and her family (husband FJ and daughter LO), we headed over to this mall...

C needed to pick up her new phone. Plus it was a welcome relief to be off the road. We'd endured hours of driving (and we'd do a few more before settling in that night)...

Ice cream at the Magnetawan Gas Bar and Store

Did I mention that we did A LOT of driving during our Canada trip?

It was cool seeing the signs that identified the different First Nation tribes...

Inukshuk

As mentioned in my previous highlights post, I was enamored of the Sirius satellite radio stations in our car, especially Channel 33 ("First Wave" which specialized in 80's)...

Other stations that I liked were Channel 38  ("Ozzy's Boneyard" - Classic Rock presented by Ozzy Osbourne) and 39 ("Hair Nation" - featuring 80's hair bands!)...25 was also good ("Classic Rewind" -70's and 80's classic rock)....

But enough about the music...what the hell are "Inukshuk" you ask?

Tim Hortons

Located just a few hundred yards away from Weber's was a much beloved Canadian instution...

Tim Hortons, or "Timmy's" as these places are affectionately called by the Canucks...

Canada 2012 - Day 2: Weber's

From Toronto, we headed north to the town of Orillia...

I was recommended to try a burger place from one of C's friend's even though she had never eaten there herself. I checked online and saw that this place held a lot of nostalgic value for many locals so that clinched it for us...

Canada Trip - Day 2 Highlights

The next day we headed out to Sudbury to meet up with our friend, C of Life on Manitoulin. It had been two years since we last saw each other.

We saw this space ship looking movie theater as we were trying to get to HWY 400...

Ready for blast off, eh!
