Mariscos Gonzalez

Today's post is brought to you by my better half, Bert...

His work brought him to the  eastern side of the 905 freeway. Located near a business park was this taco truck he observed during previous work visits around here...

Mariscos Isaac

Our quick drive up Coronado Ave to Palm brought us over to our original destination, Star Dust Donuts. Usually it is "hit and miss" with their hours. In this sad case, the shop was closed. The guy's hours are so damn random. I really wanted Dennis and Cathy to try their famous cinnamon rolls. I was also craving their chocolate glazed chocolate donut but it was not to be. So, dejectedly, we drove off, disappointed once again that the place wasn't open.

Heading west on Palm, I'd told Dennis and Cathy about this food truck that we always pass by but never stop at. It was high time to finally put an end of "just looking" and actually stopping by.

It's located in the parking lot of a nightclub, the newly opened South Bay Lounge, which used to be the Honey Ko night club.

It looked like the truck was open for business...

Mariscos Nine Seas (formerly Mariscos German)

TC and I headed south on Fern to get something to eat. We kind of did things backwards by having a tiny bit of dessert first at the grand opening of the new Eclipse Chocolate Bar & Bistro...

The mariscos truck we were headed to is housed in the Gala Foods parking lot. You will notice there are no painted lines for parking. It's a free for all here but it looks like people know how to give each  other car space. The lot is also a plus if you want a place to park to get some tacos and seafood...

El Pescador Taco Truck

If you live in the South Bay, then you know what this sign means...

And it ain't about toys! No new Barbie and Ken dolls or GI Joes with the Kung Fu Grip this time!
