A mere one week later...

Return to the Nest on Niagara

After our lovely brunch at Little Lion, it was time for some coffee...

I noticed that the old store name was painted over...

Our 22nd Anniversary - Communal Coffee, OB Beans Coffee Roasters & Supannee House of Thai

I decided to just cram our anniversary day in one post so here it is...

Yesterday, with the lovely overcast sky and the benefit of being super early (8 am) at Communal...

The Nest

My original plan for the day after New Year's Day was to watch the Rose Parade on TV...

Since NYD fell on a Sunday, the Parade itself was held the following Monday, which was yesterday.

Bert and I had another free morning. TC was out doing sports practice and Bert had the DVR set to record two different channels for the Rose Parade...

Mr. Bread

The striped awnings with a cute stylized happy baker on it lured me in like the Millenium Falcon to the Death Star's massive tractor beam...

Bert already knew from the look on my face that we would have to go in...

Return to the OB Pier & Sunset Cliffs

This cat has probably seen it all here in OB...

It didn't even look up as I approached...pensive perhaps?

We made out way to the OB Pier straight from Niagara Ave.

We'd always gone up from below, walking on the sand and up the steps.

Because of that, we never saw this informational placard until that day...

The Coffee Method

After keeping our leftovers in the car in our trusty cooler (I don't leave home without it, especially if we are eating or shopping for groceries somewhere)...

we headed down the street to get to our coffee spot, The Coffee Method.

We'd tried a few coffee places in OB before and this was one one my list we'd been meaning to try....

The Village Kitchen, Ocean Beach

Our anniversary breakfast was here in the beach town of OB...

at a restaurant that we walked into thinking it was the same one we to in April for my birthday (it wasn't)...

For some reason, we walked in here thinking this was it...

So our marriage is "old enough to drink" now, ha ha....

Birthday Highlights 2016

Today, I turned one year older...

(getting on to the 5 from the 54 around 7:45 am, ouch)

and sharing my day off was my husband Bert...

Velella Velella! Back to SF's OB

This was our last day before we headed back down to San Diego...

It was time to kick back in SF's own OB before calling it a night...

Return to the OB Tidepools Summer 2015

The sun was actually out in OB that morning. It was quite overcast when TC and I left Chula Vista that morning...

It was nice to see the sun out even for just a little bit. This is supposed to be summer in San Diego for cripe's sake...
