Frock You! Vintage Boutique

Right after we enjoyed our relatively tame burgers from Crazy Burger, I wanted to do a quick looksee here...

before we headed out to dessert...

I remember seeing "Frock You! before when we had lunch at the BFD earlier this year...

There are mostly women's clothes here dating from the 70's to the 90's. I saw a few men's things from the groovy 70's which reminded me of shirts my dad used to wear. The prices are not cheap like Goodwill or even Buffalo Exchange (which has more current styles). The quality isn't crappy either, but if you have a lot of time on your hands to browse, you might come across some unique finds.

Unless the shoe is barely worn, I hesitate to buy used shoes at vintage places.

I thought this vintage boys XL (size 18) was cute! The shirt behind it was one that had a cool pattern but it was too big. It looked like one of my dad's shirts from the 70's.

I tried on this 80's raspberry sweater with a boatneck collar and puffed sleeves...

I ended up getting both of them. The yellow shirt looks cute paired with a white tank top and blue jeans.

That tag looks so old! But I really like the yellow plaid pattern and the fit (made for boys), which is kind of short and boxy. It looks like a shirt Gordy LaChance would have worn ("Stand by Me" or Fred Savage from "The Wonder Years").

Here's the sweater at home. You can see the detail of the knit...

Super old tag here too.

I had a similar sweater way back in 8th grade but it was red.

The yellow plaid will be worn this summer (unless TC borrows it from me first) while the sweater will have to wait until it starts getting colder again.

The gal working here was really nice. She told me that every two months, they have a huge blowout sale mid month where everything is half off and whatever doesn't sell ends up being sold for less than $10. That month happened to be my birthday weekend so I didn't have a chance to come by again but I would like to check out a future sales event in the future.
