The weather a few weeks ago was quite summerlike; I remember wearing shorts, a tank top and t-shirt. It was a marked contrast to this past weekend when it was a bit gloomy and cold.
Both Jinxi and S hadn't been here before and wanted to walk on the pier and check out the scenery...
The yellow building you see is the new Pier South Coast Resort, which houses Sea 180 Coastal Tavern (a Cohn restaurant)...
On the left, are the bathrooms/shower area, a small beach shop, a sweets place....
which was newly renamed as Paramour) and Cowabunga, a homemade ice cream shop.
We stopped to look the shell shop's mural (this is the south side) filled with random pop culture characters...Sponge Bob was a popular one, recurring several times on different walls.
Hmmm, product placement?
It was nice taking some time to breathe in the sea air after having "snacked" at three different places and imbibing in alcoholic refreshments at the CBC...

We weren't done quite yet. Dessert was still on the list and it wasn't that far from here either...
