Barely a few weeks old, the newest location of Coronado Brewing Company in IB was our next stop of the day...
I believe this building used to be a pizza place which shuttered last year. Bert and I have only tried the Mermaid Red Ale but hopefully, this place would have tasters...

Parking is pretty minimal in their lot. Your best bet is street parking.

Their menu and drink offerings:

It was $2.50 for a 4 oz pour - My two included the Cream Ale and the Blue Bridge Coffee Stout.

Our tasters:

The three on the left were Jinxi and S's beers: the Coedenado, the Scotch on the Rock and the Barrelman's Brown. Of their three, I liked the Scotch. The Coedonado was quite strong and very hoppy.

Mary chose two very fruity beers - the Orange Avenue Wit (which was light and refreshing) and the Berry the Hatchet. I really liked these!

My Cream Ale went down pretty easily while the Blue Bridge Coffee Stout (blue bridge as in Coronado!) would have tasted much better in a beer float. Ice cream please! The stout wasn't a fave at the table, but I liked it. It's not the type of beer you chug but sip slowly OR HAVE WITH ICE CREAM, haha!

Before we left, I got one of these for Bert, the Stupid Stout which is an Imperial stout with hoppy notes. I'm not sure if I will like it because I don't like hoppy/bitter beers. This rereleased flavor was $8 (ouch).

Many of the utility boxes in IB have cool surf/ocean scenes on them already but this one out in front takes the cake for being one of the prettiest boxes I've ever seen.

It's great to have a cool and laid back brewhouse down in the South Bay...

Before heading off to dessert, we thought it would be a good idea to take a short stroll by the pier...
