We would end up going to that very same coffee place after the road testing...
You will first notice the big mural of the lamb with the crown (WTF). Jones Coffee Roasters ins in this tiny business area. As we approached, Mr. Hipster on a Vespa was about ready to leave.

And off he goes...

I read online somewhere that this coffee place was a favorite among the hipster set. I just wanted to go here because it was close by!

"Baaaa..."

There is definitely a hipster vibe as you enter the place. At least it was not sparse and industrial and there were interesting art pieces to look at.

I stuck with the iced coffee that morning...

The neon sign was pretty cool. It reminds me of the kind of stuff that those guys from that show, "American Pickers" would purchase for nostalgic clients.

Some of the paintings were quite 'glittery' with actual colored glitter applied over the paint. At the far left is the late rapper Biggie Smalls and next to him, a 1970's era John Lennon (it's covered but he's wearing his "New York City" t-shirt). Salvador Dali, complete with waxed and upturned moustache points is seen at the end of that row of paintings.

In the back was their roaster...

Remember those library card catalogs? Here's one being put to use as a display pedestal for coffe making paraphernelia. I wonder if anything was inside those drawers.
More of the glittery art work...below, Randy Rhoads being hoisted by Ozzy Osbourne. The late Randy Rhoads was the guitarist for Ozzy's first two solo albums post-Black Sabbath ("Blizzard of Ozz" and "Diary of a Madman", which are among my top twenty favorite albums). He was one of my favorite rock/metal guitarists who helped popularize the neo-classical metal style of guitar playing. In the painting, Randy is playing his polka dotted flying-V guitar. Below, you can see the Blues Brothers (Dan Akroyd and the late John Belushi from early SNL).

The space is pretty open...

My cold brewed iced coffee ($4) before dumping in sugar and half and half.

This was pretty strong. This was my first coffee of the day...

"Cheers" for this much awaited road trip!

Up next, like Hobbits, we would have our "second" breakfast...

Your photos came out much better than mine. Looking at the menu, I might try a fresh brewed iced tea next time (which will be soon). This was nice and I'm glad we missed the hipster crowd blast. Hobbits indeed!
hi cathy - i had to weed out the bad ones (and there were many, haha). all the bearded and mustachioed cyclists already left.
hey, 2nd breakfasts are underrated! i highly recommend them! :)
