Dessert Part 1 & 2 - Hammond's 3x and Return to Wow Wow Waffle

TORC and I were really doing the rounds that day! Between us, we tried four different tacos at two different places. Dessert would be the same, ha ha.

Just a few steps away from street artist Joachim Ixcalli's newest mural was Hammond's, our next stop...

For some reason, their blackboard with listed flavors and prices was missing. The owners weren't there that day either, with younger workers staffing the store.

They were also low on flavors as evidenced by the missing tubs in the display cases...

TORC and I shared a flight trio with tiny spoons. The flavors were selected by TORC...

Passion cream, Chocolate fudge and Kona coffee:

All of the flavors were good with Passion cream being my favorite followed by Kona coffee. I was glad that TORC liked this place as well.

I think they're going to need to order more flavors from their supplier! So far, I've liked everything that I tried here and am still digging the mini cones.

Our second dessert place was just up the street at Wow Wow Waffles. I had just been there the day before with TC and was excited to go there again...

TORC and I shared the Liege waffle with Macadamia nut butter, bananas, and whipped cream.

This time, we sat under the big canopy at the huge table...

And here it is...

And there it goes...

The macadamia nut butter was hidden under the fresh whipped cream. The flavor was subtle and not as in your face as Nutella would have been.

I liked this better than the ice cream on the TC's waffle the other day. The waffle was delicious and polished off by both TORC and myself. Joseph cut us a tiny break on the waffle which was listed at $5.50; he only charged us $5 which was quite nice of him.

From where we were sitting, we had a good vantage point of seeing different folks stroll by, taking and reading the flyers at the end of the alley and walking in out of curiosity. It was cool to see lots of pedestrian traffic to this place.

Who else went to Hammond's?

I'm so glad that TORC was a "willing accomplice" and ready to roll with this food crawl of sorts! It's so much more fun trying different places especially when every place we went to was so close together...
