Graciela's Taco Shop

There's a new taco shop in Bonita next to the Post Office. This is also in the same shopping center that has Hans and Harry Bakery.

The taco shop took the place of one of those failed "prep your own dinner" places that was popular in the mid 2000's.  You paid a certain fee and the business provided the kitchen and the ingredients. Well that didn't last long...

Late last year, I noticed Graciela's had appeared out of nowhere...

It turns out that this is the 2nd location of Graciela's; the first one is in Spring Valley.

As you walk in, this lovely framed Virgin of Guadalupe tile is on your left. I love the handmade frame. It reminds me of the kind that are in my grandparent's house in the Philippines and the one t hat Bert's dad made himself for his wedding photo.

My first visit was with La Ley and Mr. TJ.

They had a nice selection here - cucumbers too!

We noticed these dolls of a girl making tortillas on EVERY table.  It was everywhere. I mean, it's cute to have one, but for every table?  It took up a lot of table space in my opinion.

Mr. TJ's chile relleno plate with salad, rice and beans.

My rolled potato tacos.

La Ley's beef rolled tacos (which looks the same as above, duh) before she doused on the hot sauce.

We loved how thin the tortillas were, giving it a good crunch.  Service was nice and friendly here. It got busy during that visit since we came in during prime lunch hour.

Towards the end of December, Bert, TC and I went out for dinner, using this coupon (he used the first one while I used the 3 rolled tacos coupon with purchase of 5).

Condiment in the corner there. There is more booth seating beyond the pony wall.

The VoG from where we sat.

I saw that they were offering albondigas (like Los Primos)

There's that doll again.  Bert and TC got two sodas (it was part of the coupon, buy one combo, get one free with purchase of two drinks).

Pickled carrots with red and green hot sauce.

Our dinner that evening.

Bert's combo - 2 carne asada tacos with rice, beans, andchips.

TC's cheese enchiladas combo with salad, rice, beans, and chips.

My five rolled beef tacos with 3 rolled potato. This was quite a lot of food and of course, leftovers were taken home. We pretty much sampled from each other's plate as well.

They don't have a website for the Bonita shop (only for the Spring Valley location) but here are the reviews from yelp

It's good to have another option out here since our go to Mexican places are usually Cotija's or TJ Oyster Bar.
