and definitely made a stop back before they closed for the day..
It wasn't too far from where we were set up at the beach...
While it wasn't overly huge, it was nice enough to have a variety of all kinds of fresh produce, fruits, crafts, and snacks.

Now this booth had the longest lines and I thought, tamales would be good for lunch.

our view

I picked up a bag of kettle corn, tortilla chips, and three tamales (vegetarian, chicken and pork).

All were nice, hot and fresh. TC really liked the vegetarian tamale with the chard, corn, and cheese. I remember one of the other tamales having a kick to it as well.
The sun eventually burned off most of the marine layer...

We made sure to revisit the Cayucos Candy Counter to get our favorite dark chocolate PB cup.

I also picked up several bagged cookie trios to give as gifts to friends.

These PB cups are the BEST! The layer of chocolate is so thick and the pb filling within is so creamy.
We noticed they now had a few new flavors, Citrus and Honey plus lemon poppyseed. The ladies who work here are so very nice. They always offer samples of their signature product, the brown butter sea salt cookie, which is so delicious.

This might have been one of the bags of cookies I gave Cathy.

We were so very tired but were still a bit reluctant to drive back to Paso Robles where it was a good 20 degrees hotter than the coast. Yikes.

We enjoyed our few hours here and our revisits to several of the local stores. We love that everything is mom and pop here. Cayucos is easily one of those small towns you would just pass up while making your way up the coast, but we were glad we stopped by in 2011 and came back for our summer trip in '14 and again last year.
