Bigstraw Boba, Oxnard

Her friend had just gotten out of school nearby and suggested that they meet here...

It was his last day of school and a short bike ride...

The downside to this place was the lack of tables or chairs. There was only a long bench against the wall which we sat at while TC and her friend chatted.

I'm not a big fan of boba or tea or milk tea. Something about the balls gross me out and milk and tea, together or separately is not a beverage I get too often (or at all). In this case, Bert ordered a PB slushie while TC got a watemelon milk tea with boba (which means 'big boobs' in Taiwanese slang!)

I looked up what this "yard cup" was and it basically is like a beer bong but for massive amounts of slushie and boba. It's kind of gluttonous if you ask me.  It used to be $15 (judging from older photos on yelp) but the price has since gone up. I mean, is it really necessary to  drink 32 oz of anything?  Yeesh.

Decor at the back of the place plus post it notes from customers.

Now THIS was pretty damn funny.  I like it.

Get it?

For those ig'nant on Boba Fett, here are ALL of his scenes from the Star Wars films:

Happy Buddha with TC's watermelon drink. This was a wierd place to put Buddha, on top of a trashcan. Is that even right to do? Or maybe he brings good luck to those who are courteous enough to throw away their refuse?

Mostly Bert's drink, the PB slushie. I had a few sips but that was all I could handle.

Milk and me don't mix.  Makes for a horrid "bubbly" experience. I refuse to take lactaid as well. TMI? Probably but it's the truth.

By now, it was blazing hot.  It was nice the kids got to meet (they have mutual friends at another high school down south) but it was time to go. Since we were in Oxnard, I wanted us to get some berries at a local farm a few miles from here...
