The new Brown Butter Cookie Company

You can see how small this town is...

We never thought we would end up coming back here, but it seemed like the perfect summer getaway from San Diego. The summer crowds hadn't yet arrived so mid June was quite optimal. Last time we were here, we remembered this building. It wasn't the Brown Butter Cookie Company yet, since it was located at the northern end of Ocean Ave. The old building is now a private residence/rental.

The Brown Butter Cookie Company now has bigger digs and even more flavors than before...

You can smell the buttery goodness even from outside.

Upon entering all customers are greeted and offered free samples. We tried their original brown butter sea salt cookie but I already knew what I wanted. I bought quite a few of their new triple packs (they used to only sell their cookies in half dozen or dozen increments) to send as gifts back home to several friends. I bought the original flavor, citrus (which had a spicy kick), espresso, cocoa, their new almond (I noticed they didn't have any more rum flavored cookies like in 2011), and cocoa mint. They also had other traditional cookies like oatmeal, peanut butter and snickerdoodles. Those were larger sized. I only got the smaller versions with sea salt as gifts.

Trust me, I wanted to get everything but exercised a bit of restraint! The women working here are really nice. Since I bought so many packages, the lady helping me threw in a few free cookies for me, which was very nice! I think she might have been the owner.

Previous visit to the older Brown Butter Cookie Company
Summer 2011  when it was still located at the northern end of Ocean Ave. My older post links Marie from Meandering Eat's post as well as other blogger's visits.

Previous visit to Paso Robles location:
June 2014

Pieman's was calling our name so off we went. We still had other places to visit that day...
