Spring Break Road Trip Day 3: Acre Coffee, Petaluma

And we now change the channels back to our not forgotten Spring Break Road Trip...

We started of Day 3 in downtown Petaluma for some coffee with a view...

Sadly, the  historical museum across the street (which used to be a Carnegie Library) was closed during our visit and only opened the day after we left. Talk about bad timing.

There are two locations of Acre coffee in Petaluma. This is the downtown location.

They have a short meny (espresso based drinks, tea (hot and iced) as well as juice and hot chocolate for the non caffeine imbibers. They also had a small selection of pastries and some savory sandwiches.

We got the salami  and white cheddar sandwich (the pepper jam sounded good to me):

I wish they would have heated up the sandwich. The bread was kind of hard to bite into (more like gnaw like an animal) and made for ugly eating faces, ha ha.

The red pepper jelly was both sweet and spicy (but not too much). Bert and I shared this.

Our drinks. You can probably already guess who had which drink.

Bert had a mocha (with soy), TC got her usual chai tea latte while I kept it basic with a macchiato.

This was pretty strong but smooth  It provided just the right pick me up for the day. TC enjoyed her chai tea latte saying it wasn't hot and spicy like the version she had at Flying Goat in Santa Rosa (which really was undrinkable). It was a bit more pleasant to sip on.

Bert didn't think this drink stood out, but considered it all right. Plus their latte art kind of sucked.

From here, we would do our own walking tour of the neighborhood...

Just around the corner were some homes plus a church that appeared in past films. It was still early enough to enjoy a morning stroll since the sun wasn't out in full force yet...
