While on our way to find a space near Goodwill, I noticed a familiar sign in this small strip mall (the same one with PB mainstay, Mr. Frostie, dammit).

I didn't realize that Pavaraga had a new outpost in PB...

I remember one of their workers last year mentioning that they would have another location in Hillcrest but it looks like that didn't happen. I made a mental note to come here after we looked at a few shops...
which we did. As we walked in, I recognized Leo Javar, owner of Pavaraga. It was nice to see him again and that he remembered me from my previous visits. I found out that the PB location JUST opened up earlier this week.

It was decorated in the same style as their shop in Bonita (dark wood, candles with artificial orchids and palm frond; very tropical). They also had the same menu and a system where if you enter your information, it will "remember" your drink(s) that you ordered previously. I guess I wasn't on their system but I knew exactly what I wanted, the Ka'u cold brew served as a mocha with almond milk. This is my favorite drink from Pavaraga and I like that they let you taste test the drink first (they sweeten it little by little to your liking).

Cute set up here.

Like at Bonita, they also offer a free mini taster flight of their coffees for first time visitors.

Our view looking out...

TC wanted a frappucino drink here but unfortunately, their blender hadn't arrived yet so she declined other drinks from their menu. We were hoping to go to the drive through Better Buzz, but the line was way too long.
My favorite mocha cold brew...

Tastes great refrozen and then made into a coffee slushy.

I'm hoping that this location gets more action than the Bonita location. It's in PB, which gets a lot of tourists (and locals) and it's in the SAME LOT as Mr. Frostie! We hadn't eaten lunch yet so we didn't want to ruin our appetites by having ice cream that early in the morning. Well, it will just be another excuse to come up here again.

You seem to have a knack for going to coffee shops the week that they open! :D
That’s so cool they offer a free mini flight to first timers. It’s a nice way to figure out what you like without blowing it all on full sized items.
Ugh, kind of a bummer it’s in the same lot as Mr. Frostie’s. That place gets super crazy in the summer. Hopefully it will be good for their business though!
Sometimes I check the four lettered site to see "hot and new businesses" but honestly, I didn't even know about Pavaraga being in PB. That was a pleasant surprise too. I wish I could do the mini flight but I'm not a first time customer. :(
Mr. Frostie's is a place that TC still wants to try but we will have to bide our time. Tourist season in SD is almost in full swing. We have to time it right.
