Co-workers and I went to lunch after the ceremony...

and luckily, they let me choose the lunch venue...
I hadn't been back to Savoie in a year and a half and my co-workers were excited to come here after having seen their menu (and decor) online. We got there right when they opened at 11:30 am.

I know I had interior shots in my previous posts, but it just looks so beautiful I had to put these in.

By the time we left, many of the larger tables were filled with newly graduated students and their families.

Our plan was to just have some appetizers to share plus some drinks. We all had another party to attend later that afternoon so we had to save some room.

Mr. TJ and La Ley both ordered the Bottomless Mimosas ($20). Let's just say they had multiple glasses and got their money's worth.

I had the Espresso Martini - this was oh-so-smooth and I had to pace myself since we were still waiting on our food. When looking at my old Savoie posts, I noticed that we were served bread and butter in the past. This visit, none of that happened. I wonder if that is a practice they did away with or if they forgot. I don't recall if other tables got bread and butter either

Our appetizers included Calamari (with the cool cheesecloth wrapped lemon half):

We had two orders of Crab Cakes (served with fanned avocado and a creamy sauce:

Roasted Brussel sprouts with pancetta and parmesan cheese - this was Mr. TJ's favorite.

Hot pepper flakes and parmesan cheese for our two artisan pizzas:

The top was the Blue Devil whch had a white sauce, bleu cheese, and artichokes (I opted out of tasting this one since I absolutely loathe bleu cheese in any shape or form). The bottom was the Spicy Shrimp pizza which I chose and asked to have the feta cheese off (then La Ley asked the server to serve it on the side). I'm not sure why they call this spicy since it really wasn't spicy at all.

We enjoyed a leisurely "lunch" with just our appetizers and drinks (there were five of us). Our server was fantastic and gave us many good recommendations.
Previous visits to Savoie
August 2015 (has my first two visits from Fall 2014; posted super late, yes)
We were excited to know that their Happy Hour is all day on Tuesdays. When work starts up again i a few months, we may just return for that!

That crab cake looks freakin' amazing. Was there much filler in the crab cake? I haven't had a brussel sprout craving in ages but the version here looks delicious.
Yes,it was Faye. There really wasn't any filler either
The Happy Hour looks good, especially your espresso martini. Yay for graduation being over!
I like that they have it all day! I'm so glad I am on break now Kirbie. :)
I like when they put the cheesecloth over the lemon, too. It’s a little detail but it makes it seem extra fancy! Mmmm, calamari, it looks so good! Love the interior shots - it looks like a really nice place.
Yes, it looks so nice! It's a telling detail. If they weren't so darn expensive, I'd be here more often. We haven't gotten an actual meal here yet, just appetizers, ha ha.
