we reparked at a nearby taco place, La Fachada ("the facade").

There were two choices, an actual restaurant or the eatery outside...
We chose to have our tacos outside.

There is a kitchen with a menu board in the covered seating area.

Our four tacos:

Birria, cabeza (head), pastor, and carnitas.
Our chips were served in a...repurposed container. Hmmm.

Their salsa bar had four choices (tomatillo, salsa fresca and a spicier red sauce plus limes).

Our the four taco, I liked the cabeza the best. Yes, it was a bit on the fatty side, but it had good flavor. The birria was on the drier side and not as well sauced as I thought it would be. The adobada was better than the carnitas as it seemed we got the burnt end pieces or something. The tacos were all less than $2 ($1.70/birria; $1.95/for the rest). The lady working the register was also the server. It wasn't crowded during our visit since it was too early for lunch but people would come and get their tacos to go. It's not the cleanest place but we wanted to give this place a try since it was close by. We didn't keel over the next day, so at least no bad after effects.
Who else went to La Fachada?
Kirk has an older post dating back to February 2010
