sunny already (despite the haze), as we crossed over the PCH on Barnett Ave. I wanted to check out a new'ish coffee place in Liberty Station...
Moniker Coffee is across the street from the Liberty Public Market (and next to Fireside by the Patio) in Barracks 23. Their website says that they open at 7 am. It was already 9:15 and the doors were still locked. I was curious to try this place because, well, new coffee place. But a bit peeved that they didn't stick to their posted hours so...

we went to the market for coffee and pastries instead.

WestBean of course and for pastries, Le Parfait Paris. This was TC's first time coming here. She remarked that it reminded her of the public market we recently visited in Santa Barbara, but with more vendors.

Bert's salted caramel latte with soy, my macchiato and TC's iced chai latte.

The latte art on my macchiato was starting to go. We had to find some seating and the tables near the windows were still being cleaned off so I had to settle for a cleaner table but not with enough light.

TC and I chose the pastries at Le Parfait Paris. Below, their croissants and fancy desserts. I noticed that their Paris Brest was no longer shaped like a wheel (traditional shape); instead, it was a bar of four mini puffs

Breakfast #2, heh heh. TC's Le Bavarois (a raspberry dome with mousse filling), and our croissants (almond and chocolate almond). They taste so much better when eaten fresh. That being said, I still had to take mine home since I could only manage a few bites. My eyes were bigger than my stomach.

I noticed that the outdoor seating was now complete. Last time, the wooden patios were sans benches. Mary saw in her previous visit that people were just sitting down on the wooden slats.

Relaxing on their eastward facing seating area, the one with all of the seating and the fake grass.

Our feets.
Of course, that hipster coffee shop, Moniker General (which also doubles as a retail store for hipster items, cough cough) was now open. Hrmph.

See...door open. Earlier, locked and no one there.

I'm still curious to give them a go in my quest to try all of San Diego's coffee shops. I still need to set up my compilation post.
Previous visit to Liberty Public Market (which includes WestBean & Le Parfait Paris):
April 2016 during my Birthday Food Crawl with Bert
Our next stop that morning was a quick visit to another coffee shop but not for coffee...
