Thanh Long, which is owned by the same family who own Crustacean in Beverly Hills.
The good thing was that we didn't have to drive too far since it was literally only a few minutes away from our motel...
Thanh Long is known for several items on their men and we definitely wanted to try them all.
Garlic noodles was on our list, as well as their famous roasted crab. Yes, it was pricy but dammit, it was our 20 year anniversary. We'd actually been together for 10 years before we got married (yes, we were teenagers), so this was a well deserved splurge we felt.
Our drinks: my fleur de mango, Bert's pear martini and TC's fruit cooler (non alcoholic of course):
Appetizers included the Buddha Roll, which was basically a vegetarian spring roll...
Seafood dumplings (shrimp filled I believe) with a soy/sesame dipping sauce:
Crab cheese puffs (basically rangoons or crab won tons - sauces were sweet and sour and hot mustard):
Garlic toasts - These were mainly to eat with the garlicky broth from the star of the show, Mr. Roasted Crab.
The appetizers were not "OMG this is so awesome" but hey well...anniversary. Plus teen wanted those spring rolls.

Yes, crab destruction fun. So much butter! We were given bibs (not pictured, ha ha) and crab shell cracking implements.

Butter galore and meaty legs and innards.
Crab carcass bowl. One crab was good for us three but if we were totally hungry, we could have ordered two. Every table around us seemed to have ordered the crab as well. Like one crab for each person!

We had a full day of good eats (lunch post at Tblisi is forthcoming) and wanted a memorabe place for our milestone dinner, which pretty much fulfilled our expectations with the crab and noodles. Two decades is a long time and it's hard to believe that time flew by so quickly. I still remember getting ready for our wedding. :)
