Doing everything super early in the morning when NO ONE is out is also a plus.

Having it cool and overcast was also another big plus...
since it makes for evenly lit photos. The Santa Barbara harbor was calm and quiet and gave us the opportunity to walk alongside the harbor up to the very end (I found out later this part was called Point Castillo). There are a couple of benches where you can sit and gaze upon Stearns Wharf.

We ended up walking to the wharf, which in my opinion, was kind of blah. There are the typical tourist shops and restaurants but you couldn't walk freely on the wharf since cars do drive on it. Pedestrians must walk on designated walkways on the outside edges.

Our hotel was just a short walk away but it was good for us to get in some morning exercise.
Our late breakfast was here (there are several locations of this chain) at the State Street location.

Coffee was on the same street...

Also on State Street was a museum TC had on her "must see list". Homie at the front desk didn't charge for TC which was a nice surprise (saved $6).

Another "must see" was the Courthouse.

Aaaand here is the eastern view from the Courthouse Tower.

Plus more beautiful tiles...

In the hills above Santa Barbara was a small park...

boasting amazing views of the town...
Dinner was just take out from the public market since we were too tired to even deal with going to another restaurant. Tomorrow would take us to Goleta and also the beach.
