Summer Road Trip 2016 - Day 6 Highlights

This day was purely food stops...

Our initial destination was a breakfast place in Granada Hills...

but we were ten minutes early.  However, I saw that a fairly new bakery (six weeks new) was open and it was just down the block.  So...Breadologie it was.

Full fledged post is forthcoming but know this, their croissants were $%#@ awesome.  It was great to see other flavors asides from chocolate and almond.

We were able to hit up this Filipino eatery for breakfast, known for their pancake flight featuring ube, pandan and mango flavors...

and before we left this city in the Valley (it was getting to be pretty dman hot by this time and it wasn't even 10 am  yet; try 84F!), we made a quick stop at a coffee pop up located behind a Korean Methodist Church.

Here are two of the four drinks we ordered...

We returned once more to Tustin  to pick up a few things at two places for my dad (Father's Day is tomorrow)...

Unfortunately, I drove this leg (Tustin to Carlsbad) and what should have been only 1 hour was doubled due to shiteous traffic.    Bert, thankfully took over after the Carlsbad stop.

We'd been gone for nearly a week (this was short by previous vacation standards) but we were happy to be home once again.

I'm excited to get these posts out in due time and I promise it won't take a year to finish (ha ha). When I showed my dad some of our vacation pix he joked, "just food pictures?".  Well, what do you expect from a food blogger (but in seriousness, there are a few group shots of us three scattered in the memory card)!
