where Bert and I picked up a couple of pieces of chocolate...
The pieces we chose were as different as night and day. The half moon piece was flavored with chili of some sort and man did it pack a kick! The other chocolate's flavor escapes me, but I believe it might have been something fruity. Hell, I don't remember but for the steep price, we tried to savor it as much as we could.
This was a glass case outside of Chi chocolate. This reminded me of my dad when he used to wear his old Navy blues uniforms. He also had the white sailor suit. If you didn't know already, Liberty Station is the site of the former Naval Training Center (NTC).
It had been awhile since we were last at Chi and we noticed that they expanded! In fact, the owners took over the spot next door which serves sandwiches and salads. It's called Banyan Kitchen.
We'll have to explore their menu next time!
A short walk away was the Women's Museum. Not free unfortunately but it is educational.
The exhibit at the time was, "Here Comes the Bride and other Nightmares" by photographer Freyda Miller. It certainly was provocative and thought provoking. Literary quotes were sprinkled into 3-D montages as well her ethereal photographs which explored womanhood, marriage and how society views women.

This trio of vintage wedding dresses was also cool to see. They were in such good condition.

Although TC thought the dolls were a bit creepy, she enjoyed the exhibit and learned a lot of about different multimedia techniques.
