Halloween 2016

I didn't dress up this year to pass out candy.

I wore my "costume" all day at work and the weight of the battery pack was irritating me...

This post will just focus on the store window artwork as seen on various thrift stores. The first two are from the United Cerebral Palsy thrift store in Pacific Beach which TC and I first scoped out in late September in preparation for our costumes.

The dolls in the window crepped out TC very much. I liked the artwork featuring an angry ghost and pumpkin.

The Goodwill in PB had the mark of Dano, whose work is seen all over San Diego for every major holiday you can think of.

Goodwill in La Mesa (same strip mall as Patty's Cafe).

As seen at a thrift store in Chula Visa...wizard pumpkin man?

Plus coffin candy as seen at an ethnic grocery store...

TC spent the evening at a friend's house, helping to pass out candy, while Bert and I held down the fort. Some fun costumes we saw included Alice in Wonderland, various comic book characters (both Marvel and DC), lots of Harley Quinn's (due to the popularity of the recent movie, "Suicide Squad") and even a little girl dressed up as the adorable Donutella (a Tokidoki character)!

Next year I will have to utilize my backup costumes (either "Coraline" or Leela from "Futurama")!
