Caren from the Velveteria gave us a few recommendations we planned to follow up on such as this boba place...
Also located in the Far East Plaza Center was Ten Ren's Tea Time, a mini mall of sorts with various eateries and businesses. Ten Ren hich is on the bottom floor located towards the back past Chego.

There are two parts to the store, one that has traditional teas and the other half selling fruity drinks with boba.

TC's drink was lychee flavored milk tea with boba...

While she enjoyed the milk tea, she did not like the consistency and texture of the boba because it was very very soft. It kind of grossed her out; she is used to more firm boba, I suppose. I didn't care for it either. I am not so much a fan of milk tea drinks anyways.

While taking these photos as surreptitiously as I could, Bert pointed out the "No Photography" sign in the store...yikes!

If there are any boba drink fans out there, would that soft consistency be "normal" or should it have been firmer? Inquiring minds want to know...

Hi CC! Tea Station also actually uses TenRen teas for their drinks - I've never had TenRen's own tea drinks, though. Interestingly, the name on the sign translates to, "TenRen Ginseng Company"...
I'm not really a boba expert since I'm not a huge fan, but according to S, boba should be pretty chewy - it shouldn't be soft and "mushy". (Although, both of us actually prefer the mushier kind since we're too lazy to chew things... hahaha.)
That is good to know Jinxi! Thanks for letting us know about how the boba consistency should be too.
