$4 lunch at Mamma Lina's

Last week TC and I had the pleasure of meeting up with Mary of This Tasty Life during her lunch break...

She recently posted on a lunch spot favorite of hers...

Mamma Lina's Ravioli Co. is kind of hidden between a bunch of office buildings.

Their lunch specials are quite affordable and tasty! Only for a full plate of ravioli with salad and bread or $4 for a half order. Hello!

There is no place to sit inside, only on the newly renovated outside patio  (on brand new Astroturf). Inside  there is only room to order your food at the rather narrow area between the counter where we also saw some desserts in the freezer (some rather large truffles and spumoni ice cream on a stick). I saw on their menu that the spumoni was only $1.50 but since TC and I were planning to go elsewhere for dessert, refrained this time. I totally wanted to get it though.

Our excellent lunches (at the right is Mary's chicken tortellini, which was really delicious!):

TC's beef ravioli with meat sauce, garlic/pesto bread and salad ($4/half order):

My mushroom ravioli, which was so nice, plump and saucy!

Mmm, you can see the finely minced garlic on the pesto spread!

If I worked nearby, I would be here EVERYDAY!!! Seriously man.

Who else went to Mamma Lina's?
Mary back in 2009 and again this year...

Alas, Mary had to go back to work. TC and I debated over dessert and made the trek to the College Area to a newly opened eatery...

Yay, glad you were able to come visit me on my break! The full order is $6 and if you get a full order you can mix and match the ravioli (but not on half orders as we found out). I think the pesto by itself might be my new favorite sauce! It was fun seeing you and TC again :) I'm so glad you guys enjoyed it and got to try it this time.

I'm glad too! Thanks for always picking great places! I will have to try a full order next time, if I ever go with Bert...we can split it. I want to try the pesto as well. TC thinks you are very very nice and funny. :)
