Deja vu - Raki Raki & Paris Baguette with CAB

This the post that I thought I did but didn't...

The last time I saw CAB, we went here as well as to the same dessert spot. The only difference was, TC was with me this time. It was the last week of my vacation before heading back to the busy school year...

This was TC's first time here. Instead of ramen (which CAB and I ordered), she had two rolls, the Raki Raki Roll and the Soft Shell Crab.

We liked the crushed up seaweed that coated the rolls! CAB also ordered the soft shell crab roll (both kinds were good!)...

CAB's ramen  with pork and egg (I forget which one she had) but the broth looked pretty rich!

I had the tsukemen with pork and a side of corn. I am not one for dipping these noodles little by little into the broth. I just put a bunch of noodles INTO the broth and let it sit (insert collective gasp of horror from the traditional die hards). I saved myself some time, I say. The broth was quite rich and not really made for gulping down (which I did not do).  It did warm up the noodles nicely and again, saved me time from the novelty of dipping them.

CAB's meat...(heh heh)

And like deja vu, we returned to Zion's Paris Baguette so we could make use of these free coffee coupons (with a minimum $10 purchase). I used this one while CAB used the regular free coffee offer.

CAB was excited that they had cronuts now. Remember the craze last year where they were only offered on a certain day at a certain time and how people would line up? No longer. Now you can get them anytime, anyday but just don't buy more than 6 at a time (it even says so on t heir placard). They had coffee and mango cronuts (oops, I mean croissant donuts) that day.

My box which was a shade over $10 and thus, entitling me to a free iced coffee drink which was way BIGGER than depicted on the coupon. I had a ginormous tall cup of it! I had two donut sticks (chosen by TC), a blueberry creamcheese bun, a coffee pastry, a hot dog bread  (for TC), a mini fruit tart, and a almond pound pastry (for Bert).

Both of our boxes and our free coffee. CAB had two cronuts (one mango and the other I don't remember), plus fruit danish for her and her husband.

TC's mango ice cream from the boba place.

Nice and mangled and tasty.

We shared a few of our desserts with each other.

Previous visit to Raki Raki:
Deceber 2013 which was with CAB!

Previous visit to Paris Baguette:
December 2013 where I finally tried one of their cronuts...I'm over those now, haha.

I love the noodles at Raki Raki. We liked the seaweed powder so much that I bought some at Kyoto a few days later. It makes rice look so pretty.  Again, a super fun day spent in the company of a good friend and my daughter...

We've driven around that parking lot from hell mall and left so many times. Now will make an effort to park and walk to try RR. PB is just so good...

I won't even park IN the $%#@ lot! Crazy drivers. Best time is to go early and park on the street, but CAB actually parked in the lot.

I've been in the crazy lot 3 times with Jake driving and he's always managed to park in there! I think he's magic or something haha. I haven't had Ramen a whole lot but I've never had the noodles on a separate plate where you had to dip them. Seems like an unnecessary step, haha.

I HATE that parking lot!

Yes, I think it's a totally unneccesary step. But one thing is, the tsukemen broth is REALLY rich and concentrated. i woulnd't drink it like a regular soup.
