Canada 2012 - Day 8 - Breakfast buffet @ Aloft, Montreal

Having spent our first and only night at the Aloft Hotel, we were ready for a big day to explore Montreal again...

but this time in the daylight. We had an idea of what we wanted to eat that day which included some iconic Montreal fare, but first...

we had breakfast at their breakfast buffet which apparently, was a 'new' feature, so yay for that.

The beverages...coffee and tea. There were several chafing dishes at the stations containing eggs, bacon, and sausage patties...

Plus stands with pastries (muffics, croissants, danishes), and plates with fresh fruits...

The lobby and eating area.

The bar is at the very back. We sat across from it...

TC's plate - Bacon, a muffin, half of a boiled egg and scrambled eggs and OJ. Why she got two kinds of eggs...I don't know.

Bert's - Canadian bacon slice, sausage patty, grapes, bacon, a pastry and scrambled eggs.  There's a square something next to the grapes and I can't even identify or remember what that was, so it shall be known as the mystery breakfast item.

Mine - apple juice, bacon,a couple of pastries plus a muffin (which proved to be too much), bacon, a sausage patty, tomato slice, and scrambled eggs. No fruit for me since I'm not a fruit in the morning person.

A decent breakfast and a very filling start of our day...

So long Aloft Hotel!

Then it was off to revisit Montreal in the daytime as we waited to be picked up by C and her husband.

The mystery breakfast item looks to be a fried/cooked/warm tomato; at least that's what mine look like when I cut in half and put in the pan with whatever else is cooking. Montreal is such a nice place.
