Cortina's

Blogger sux today.

Okay, here goes, for the THIRD TIME. I'll put in my hyperlinks later. Dammit.

After getting picked up at the airport by C and her family (husband FJ and daughter LO), we headed over to this mall...

C needed to pick up her new phone. Plus it was a welcome relief to be off the road. We'd endured hours of driving (and we'd do a few more before settling in that night)...

Part of the mall's directory:

I liked seeing the different stores that we didn't have. For example, "HMV" is their music store (which is also found in the U.K.). Their food court had Swiss Chalet, a Canadian chain known for their rotisserie chicken. Of course, they also had a "Timmy's" (Tim Hortons, no apostrophe) there.

Below, the nearly deserted food court. It was already late by the time we arrived at the mall...

So, after C got her phone, we headed out for dinner. But first, this...

Gotta love that name!

As we headed south to Espanola, we saw the Domtar paper mill which overlooks the Spanish River.

We also some a group of Mennonites waiting for the bus...

Dinner would be here, at Cortina's.

Apparently it had been remodeled after experiencing a fire earlier that year.

The interior was quite nice with modern decor.

We hadn't eaten since Weber's, so we were starved.  For starters, we were given a loaf of (unsliced)  bread plus butter.

My garden salad and C's Caesar salad.

Bert and FJ got the same thing - Rigatoni with Spicy Sausage which they both enjoyed. It looked pretty hearty and the sausage did have a kick to it.

Their little daughter's Spaghetti:

TC's Baked Lasagna.

C's Four Cheese Ravioli

My oven baked sandwiched with Italian Meatballs. Loved this. I was so hungry I finished it but ended up passing on the bread for the second half of the sandwich.

Even though it was 9 pm, it STILL wasn't dark. It would be nearly one and a half hours later before we arrived at C's parents' place where we would stay...

Da 2 Recap:
Weber's
Tim Hortons (near Weber's)
Inukshuk
Ice Cream at the Magnetawan Gas Bar and Store
and of course, this post!

Tomorrow, we would revisit the island once again!

OMG! How funny was it that FJ and Bert always ordered the same items off of pretty much every menu!? :)

Miss you guys!
