I made a mental note to come here later this week with TC...
which we did a few days later (sunny here, cloudy last week). Deb's Cookie Jar opened one month ago. It's on the westbound side of Palm Ave and 10th, next to El Amigo taco shop.

We were interested mainly in the breakfasts ($3 and $5 price points! Wow!).

It's really cute inside with a red and black color scheme. Deb herself was there, in the back baking cookies.

The lady who helped us was so very nice and friendly. She knew many of the folks who walked in (regulars). There area a few tables and bench seating but the outer edges o the tables do not have chairs. They should really add a few more seats in here.

Their menu board plus cookie flavors!

In addition to our breakfast choices, we also chose 3 cookies plus their Daily Dollar Deal. Today, their flavor was White chocolate cranberry.

Although there are many flavors listed on the board, I'm pretty sure they rotate the flavors; if you want custom batches, they can also do it for you. There were some empty racks but that was because it was still early in the morning and the cookie baking was in progress.

TC chose their Chocolate Cip, the PB & J while I selected the Dark Side (dark chocolate with chocolate chips).
My housemade biscuit breakfast sandwich with sausage, scrambled egg and choice of pepper jack cheese (other bread choices were bagel or croissant; cheese choices were cheddar, American and Muenster; meat choices were ham, bacon, or sausage). It was a pleasant surprise to get two small breakfast sandwiches. I was expecting one big one. I like it this way since one was just right to satisfy my craving. The other, I ate later that day. The biscuit was really fresh, tender, and flaky.

TC's French toast with choice of side (fruit for her) with whipped butter and maple syrup. Even though we ate here, the food was served in styrofoam clamshells. I'm sure they don't want to do a lot of dishwashing.

She thought it was just okay but way better than the crappy rendition she had at Rudford's.
Flyer on their door advertising the upcoming Sun & Sea Festival:

If you see the Salty Frog sign, you've gone too far. During the day of our visit, parking was pretty easy. I'm sure this business center can get crowded at peak times; if that is the case, there is side street parking as well.

Our cookies (the red bow was a nice touch). The lady didn't charge us for the Dollar Special, which was a nice surprise!

Cookies at home. The PB and J cookie only had jelly on top. This was TC's choice. I thought jelly would be swirled within but it wasn't.

Of the four cookies, I liked the Dark Side (my choice) the best. Bert liked the chocolate chip.

We'll just HAVE to go again to try the other flavors, heh heh.

So glad that we tried this place out. I'm already thinking of ways to return...

Thanks so much for this. We had to be in Coronado/The Strand last week and drove here for a late breakfast/early lunch. They were out of biscuits and French toast though so we tried other items..and we will also go back; there are so many good places to stop in that part of town and Deb's is another one.
I'm glad that you and the Mister were able to check out Deb's. We are definitely coming back to try their other breakfast items and cookie flavors. The Mexican place it's next to (El Amigo) has some pretty good breakfast burritos as well.
