I quickly noticed that Santa Barbara was full of beautiful hand painted Spanish tiles. They were literally everywhere.
Many of the stores and eateries on State Street were also on the pricier side, catering to well heeled customers.

There were many shops setin side streets which looked very European.

After browsing and exploring along several blocks, we headed over to our hotel which was within walking distance to the Wharf area (more like closer to the Santa Barbara Community College). There were so many cute little inns and hotels concentrated in the nieghborhood where our hotel was located. It was time to take a litte rest after checking in...
