Ready to get some coffee drinks (well, not proper coffee but frappe-like drinks)

at Dutch Brothers, a drive through coffee place, which Northern California didn't seem to have a shortage of...
Dutch Bros. Coffee was started in 1992 in Oregon and now has over 250 locations in Northern California, Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Nevada, Colorado and Arizona.

They have both hot and cold drinks. I got the Dutch Freeze while Bert got the White Chocolate Mocha. As for TC, she passed on this place, opting to stick with water and then get something else for our next stop.

While we were driving out, we saw this sight...

Holy $#&% are those birds huge! And scary too! They were making a lot of noise and had pretty much upended the dumpster of its trash contents searching for food.

Look at that mess!

It was a bit ominous seeing these birds here. I'm glad that they weren't like angry avians in Hitchcock's film, "The Birds"!
I was trying to make it quick while taking these photos on the hood of our car.

The drinks were okay but nothing so spectacular. Mine was just a basic mocha freeze which hit the spot that morning.

So long Crescent City!

Now it was off to the City by the Bay...

See, they also have a 'Berto's shop here, in this case, Raliberto's. This was right behind Dutch Bros.

In any case, we had a long drive ahead of us and the temps were expected to rise into the low 100's.

When we went to Portland, we made sure to go here for T's sake. This was his favorite hot chocolate spot in Oregon. We didn't actually drink anything from there but we were happy to take him.
Wow, I'd never even heard of this Dutch Bros until our trip. They had a LOT of drive thru coffee places, but this was the most seen one.
