It was so convenient having everything right next door to each other...
It was the early afternoon and a good time to take a break from looking at records and used clothes and such.

I love the variety of cupcake flavors as well as the choice of sizes (mini and regular size). I prefer the mini because it allows me to try more flavors rather than committing to one big one that I might not like. As it stands, I pretty much like everything I've tried here.

My mini cupcake was dessert, while the other items were for Bert and TC (mince meat pie, butterfly shaped shortbread, and dipped heart shaped sugar cookies). The shortbread cookies were thick and just melted in your mouth; Bert really enjoyed those with his coffee.

I've never had mince meat pie before, so this tiny version would be our inaugural taste. It was filled with dried fruit and spices. Bert and TC warmed this up the next day. I didn't really like it as much since it was more savory than sweet.

I loved the look of these colorful tiny sugar heart cookies. They were dipped in edible glitter and tiny sprinkles.

For the life of me, I can't remember the flavor of these cupcakes (ooh, even the chocolate chips were dipped into edible glitter). I know they were chocolate something.

Cy's cupcake was TC's favorite, Grandma Soapy's Lemon Curd with buttercream. Their mini's are the perfect size, but if you want to be really anal, you probably do get more bang for your buck with the larger sizes. Anyhow, I prefer the minis just for the sake of trying more flavors.

Believe it or not, I was still kind of hungry. Those empanadas (1 and 3/4 actually) weren't enough for me, so I thought I'd try their Wild Mushrom puff pastry quiche.

The gal working the counter gave me a brownie fresh from the oven (wrapped too!). This was rather unexpected but Bert ended up being the happy recipient of this sweet treat. Very nice!

This was the quiche which had a nice flaky puff pastry shell and was filled with wild mushrooms, onions, and cheddar. It was served hot and the smell made my mouth water.

Lest you think I was a pig, I only ate about half and saved the rest for TC. I just wanted a little something more since the empanadas weren't really a full meal for me.

Even though it was only the early afternoon, we both had to head back home to our families. It was quite fun checking out new record stores and finding a few new things to wear, eat, and listen to. We didn't get to visit all of the record stores we wanted to, but that was all right. We played it by ear, met some really interesting people and enjoyed good eats throughout the day
