Low tide in OB

Even though we've been here before, we never get tired of the tide pools in OB...

It was even more fun since TC was with her two friends...

We timed it so that it would be low tide after we had our lunch and dessert...

A perfect San Diego day, which is pretty much almost every day.

Yes, I'm gloating, as a native San Diegan!

The girls had a good time exploring all of the different crevices and rocks...

They eventually went south of the main tide pools where there were even more tide pools. In the past, we'd never ventured that far.

It was wierd to see all of the exposed tide pools during low tide.

View from the top of the wall near some old apartment building.

Lots of people were in this other area, hanging out by the rock walls.

As lovely as this all was, after an hour or so, it was time to head back. Plus, I was getting sunburned despite my slathering of sunblock.

View of the skyline while heading south on the 5.

Lately, I've been taking pix of airplanes...something about seeing these huge machines in the air fascinates me.

Our next excursion would be our 2nd Trolley Adventure, in which I already posted on the first leg, when we went to the newly opened Donut Bar...and then went to a few other touristy places and met and observed some interesting folks...
