Even during the rain, the bridge was picturesque...
It looked a lot shorter when we were on it than looking at it from afar.
I've read that this is the bridge featured in the opening scenes in "Twilight", where Bella is riding in her father's cop car. But I've also read from another fan account that the bridge was really the similar looking Lewis and Clark Bridge which is near Longview Washington (where we made a quick photo stop on our way to Astoria; in fact after looking at that post again, I believe we actually crossed the Lewis & Clark Bridge!). Most fan blogs say it is THIS bridge that was featured in the movie. BUt whatever. Who cares. Anyways, with that trivial tidbit aside, we made our way over so we could check out the Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center in Stevenson.
As you can see by the speed limit sign, you have to drive at a snail's pace...
"Entering Washington"...
Cold and dreary...
We hung a right to get to the museum...
We would be crossing it again on our way back...
