Yogurt Swirl

After our lunch at Buga, we headed up north...

to try a new dessert place at the strip mall with Pho Cow Calli...

By the way, the time on that clock tower is totally wrong!

Despite the name of this place, we weren't here for yogurt.

We all wanted to try the Shaved Snow Ice! You pick your flavors and get two toppings plus condensed milk on top. Prices are $4.99 for a small and $6.99 for a large. The large, we were told is not served in a cup, but rather on a plate. Next time we go here (and there WILL BE a next time, heh heh), we'll get the large because I love the look of that shaved snow ice uncumbered by an ugly old cup.

They had standard yogurt toppings to the left of this (not seen, but had chopped nuts, candies, etc). This side had fruit jellys, mochi, cookie dough, fruits, and those "boba" juice poppers (looks like fish eggs to me).

Bert and I shared the small Taro. This was the machine in action, spinning round and round while the owner caught the ice ribbons in the cup.

I was kind of disappointed that the ice was not as pretty as I thought it would be, becuase it was covered by the mochi and rainbow jelly toppings. I was not, however, disappointed in the taste!

Can you tell whose this is?   If you guessed TC, you guessed right. She loves her gummy worms and rainbow mochbi. I'm surprised she didn't get gummy bears (unless they didn't have it). The flavor she selected was watermelon.

Also choosing watermelon were our neighbors, who shared this with their older daughter.  The watermelon flavor was a light pink color. It was light and fluffy and totally refreshing. They got the rainbow jelly on theirs as well as the juice poppers. This totally looks like that ikura fish roe. Ugh! Imagine if this was actually fish eggs on your dessert!

And our taro snow ice once again...the condensed milk was covering the prettiness of the snow ice.

I would like to come back again and try their lychee or black sesame flavor.
