Revamped Pentych in North Park

A few weekends ago, Bert and I had some free time while TC was at sports practice...

We noticed that what I call the "Pentych" (not the official name of this grouping of murals) had changed...

Here is a photo of the previous version circa Summer 2015:

Here is how it is now. The only panel that remains untouched or unchanged is the last one by Esperanza.

Here are closeups of the newest panels:

Artist, Monty:

Artist: Maxx Moses

Artist: (I do not know since there is no signature/tag)

Artist; Gloria Muriel (aka Glow).  This is an updated version with different hair color and skin.

Behind the building of The Studio Door gallery on 30th Street, I noticed more artwork had popped up. The electrical box with Tupac was the only painted surface last year. Now, the whole backside of the building was decorated.

We were here again the next day for small business Saturday; the colors looking slightly different due to the overcast skies...

Here is a photo of the corner/back wall before it got painted. You can also compare the new Glow mural...

to this one. I'm glad that the artist redid it. It was looking sad with a chipped section:

Street art can be so ephemeral. One day it's there and the next month or even literally the next day, it could be gone or painted over.
