Pizzeria Luigi, Imperial Beach

Two weeks ago, I found out that Pizzeria Luigi's third location had opened up in IB!

The pizza place in fact, took over the space which used to house a yoga studio...

and which also has a wall with a wave and a biblical quote.

It was not that late but already dark. TC was at a sports event and we took a break to have dinner nearby.

Their menus above. The pizzas in their case are the same as at their other locations. Same names but not labeled.

Service is relaxed here. Customers came and went, many of them were locals and a few were visitors from out of town, most likely staying at the Pier South hotel across the street.

Two slices and a soda were $7. Inflation. It used to be $6 at the Golden Hill and North Park location.

Bert's slices - We didn't catch the name while we were there but it had no sauce,  pepperoni, ricotta, jalapenos and pineapple. A quick search online and voila, this pizza was called the Spicy Kevo (not sure why though). The other was the Sports Bar which we've had bar (potatoes, bacon, sour cream and onion).

My slices - Leonardo (mozzarella, parmesan and pesto) and Crime Scene (ricotta, meatball and red sauce):

We'll have to come back again with TC next time. I'm glad that there's a Luigi's down south now, even though it's about a twenty five minute drive out to the beach from where we are. No worries though since there a lot of other great places nearby in the same neighborhood.
