Happy Anniversary to my dear husband! Although we've been married 16 years, we've been together more than half our lives - sounds like a mighty long time!)...
Bert and I have been together since high school...can you tell this was the mid 80's?
Our first movie watched on TV (VHS), "Wierd Science" (1985)
Our first movie date, "Pretty in Pink" (1986)
Our first restaurant date - "Long John Silver's" (and last time I ever ate there as well)
First slow song danced - "Lost in Love" by New Edition (1985) - Ha, I love how the group is doing the Roger behind Ralph Tresvant!
Slow song that played at our wedding in 1995, "For You" by Cameo (song chosen by Bert). We were together for 10 years before we got married...
Our most recent movie watched on TV - none really, but we did watch the "True Blood - Season 4 Premiere" together
Our most recent movie date, ""Pirates of the Caribbean - On Stranger Tides" (TC was with us and the movie was not so great, but it had Depp in guyliner!)
Our last restaurant date (alone) - Well, this wasn't really a dinner date, but more of a foodcrawl where we had donuts, tamales, fish and shrimp tacos, strawberries, and tacos de cabeza and barbacoa this past Spring!
My husband is a saint for having to put up with me (faults and all)! He's such a good sport and is willing to try any food I suggest and is always the one driving whenever we travel. He also makes great spaghetti and scrambled eggs (but not together). His dry sense of humor is also a plus. Bert is knowledgeable about all things computer and comics related - it helps to have a geek husband. He also took such good care of me when I was ill three years ago. That wasn't the best time of my life, but he was with me throughout that ordeal. For Halloween last year, he even carved an Eric Northman pumpkin for me! Bert is also a great father to our daughter TC - playing "horsie" when she was small to teaching her math and how to draw cartoon characters, playing sports with her, and so on. I'm so blessed to have my husband in my life! Thanks for the wonderful years together Bert!

when the waiter asked how many years we were celebrating, he seemed shocked that it was 16 years!
A special congrats to you. A special playing of "Forever Love" by "X Japan" for you and yours. Try find. If cannot I'll try to get you a copy.
Hi OkiHwn - Thanks so much! Btw, I love that song! X Japan rocks! I already have it. :)
As I get to know you more I understand how you know about X Japan. They're over 20 years old and still going and loved by Japan!
hi Okihwn - one of my former students made me a few mix tapes of J-Rock groups like X Japan, Glay, Malice Mizer and L'Arc en Ciel. This was back in the late 90's. We had a lot of Japanese students at our school (their dads worked at the maquiladoras in Tijuana, MX) and many of them liked J-Rock. I really like the visual look of some of these bands as well.
e-mail your address and I'll send you a copy of X Japan's Ballad CD.
Happy 16th Anniversary!!! :) What a special day (not to mention it's Canada Day! LoL!)

okihwn - thanks for your well wishes and generosity but it's not necessary to send me the cd.
