She wanted to show me some of their antique shops on one of the main drags. Apparently there were A SHIT TON of antique/thrift/consignment stores concentrated in San Clemente.
She knew that I was collecting old candlestick holders and old plates for making DIY cake and dessert platters.

I liked the look of this taco place!

This was one of the stores we visited. I ended up buying several pairs of candlestick holders to be used for future projects. No plates though.

There was no parking in the lot by the San Clemente pier. It was a gorgeous and sunny SoCal Saturday so of course, everyone was at the beach.

We circled around again and still found no open spots. This is Ave Victoria which is right next to the Ocean. It reminds me a bit of the La Jolla Shores area but not as upscale.

She was hoping to have our lunch at this French creperie, La Galette. Due to the shiteous parking situation, we decided to go somewhere else instead...

We parked at the west end of Avenida Del Mar (the end of which is the pier) and started walking east to see if there was a decent lunch spot...

I'm going to do the lunch post separate but this last shot is from when we left San Clemente. Between our lunch and our window shopping on Avenida Del Mar, I had nice time looking at all of the different shops they had. A lot of these places were on the higher end and out of my price range. I noticed a lot of antique stores, art galleries, clothing boutiques and a few Mexican and American eateries. Lots of mom and pop shops too.

Seems like a cute town. It would be nice to come back and explore more of this picturesque town known as the "Spanish Village by the Sea"....
