Cat pillows + gay themed clothes at Target + the Georgia Street Bridge

After our breakfast at Brothers Family Restaurant, Astroboi and I went to a few places to look for crafts...

My parents' 50th Anniversary is coming up and I needed his help for the centerpieces...

One of our stops was Michael's where we saw these photorealistic cat pillows.  I'll pass on these thank you. We also went to Target on Balboa and the 99cent only Store in Clairemont.  I was trying to find white flowers, vases and photo frames for a centerpiece idea that KD suggested. I will have to do a separate post for that, but between now and the end of June, I will be working on those. I was glad that Astroboi was able to help me decide which blooms to get.

While we were at Target, we saw this...

Awwww, cute!

And THIS!

(ha, the California BEAR).

I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were selling this at a Target (which shows progress I suppose). Gay has gone mainstream.  I liked the Unicorn holding the rainbow flag tank top! Pride is not for another few months Target!

Speaking of gay...

We were passing through...noticing a few changes. The construction below used to be the former Thrift Traders on University where Astroboi and I wandered through their aisles back in 2015. Here is what is used to look like, as of October 2015. From this...

to this!

As we headed to North Park via Hillcrest, we passed by the Georgia Street Bridge which is undergoing repairs. Here is an older post where TC and I explored the bridge back in 2014.

Looks like retrofitting is finally happening.

Here's my amazing drive by shot of the new Olympic Cafe, right behind its old spot on Texas and University Ave.  We are going to have to come there to have breakfast again.

Astroboi lucked out and found nearby parking for our next stop in North Park.  Lady of the Lake will become the new Nomad Donuts. Later when we were leaving, we saw Brad, one of the co-owners taking to someone about the new space.

Open soon please!

Our next stops would be a few steps down from the future Nomad Donuts...
