Searching for Dark Horse...plus Wunderland in Milwaukie

After cranking out those Canada Highlights posts, it's time to return to Portland.

We're still on Day 4, which was spent with KDB. We had just dropped him off after our ice cream break at Salt & Straw, and were headed to Milwaukie...

We passed by the Sheridan Fruit Company on SE MLK...

We also drove past the Carts on Foster food pod on SE Foster Road. KDB told us he was planning to order cannolis from Holy Cannoli for an upcoming party.

So many food pods...so little time! Let's carry on shall we?

So, we were looking for Dark Horse Comics in Milwaukie, another city a few minutes south of Portland.  We passed by this comic shop while looking for parking...

We made a mental note to stop by there.

TC also spotted another Wunderland...

We decided to get in out of the rain to play a few games...

You have to pay admission and then pay extra if you want quarters to play the games...

We hadn't been to a Wunderland since our Portland visit three years ago; it was at the Avalon location though.

TC and Bert got in a few games of air hockey. I also went up against TC and won a few rounds myself. Things got a bit competitive, if I may say so myself.

Our curiosity satisfied, we walked around the block to find that Dark Horse Comics was actually the office and not a comic shop. Dark Horse is the third largest comics publisher in the U.S.

Turns out that Mike Richardson (founder of Dark Horse) also owns the comic shop that we passed earlier, Things from Another World.

Bert was still sad over losing his Tick figurine (last seen at the Astoria Goonies Jail) so we thought he might be able to find another figurine at the comics shop...
