Good Food Here

Located just mere steps away from Slappy Cakes was this food pod...

KDB wanted to show us a few of his favorite food carts...

We had just finished breakfast so it was still pretty early, maybe about 10 am? As you can see, the carts were still closed...

Here's one that we planned to come back to later...Viking Soul!

Their offerings:

He said that Cackalack's was known for it's Southern Fried Chicken...

Too bad it was closed....

This cart, Sweet Pea's Brulee sold desserts. They were closed because the owners just had a baby (the wife)...awwww.

Their menu...

Another one of KDB's faves, Euro Trash:

Hmmm, fish heads and Chorizo and chips!  Interesting menu this was.

Another cart he really liked was Lardo's (not pictured). Here is a sign from Lardo's,  known for their Dirty Fries (see menu below):

It's cool how each neighborhood has its own food pod. It was a bitt odd for me seeing residential homes, then random businesses, and then a food pod, but it works. If I lived and worked here, I could see myself supporting the local businesses (food pods and all).

What was nice about this pod was that there was picnic table seating. Some of the other pods we went to (Cartlandia and Cartopia) also had covered seating which really helps out since it rains a lot in Portland. The pods downtown have no seating at all unless you want to risk sitting on a curb.

Well, these were all closed. It was just a look-see. We planned to come back later on that day. Just down the street was KDB's favorite video store which we just HAD to see...
