Canada Trip - Day 4 Highlights

It was nice to be back in Tehkummah with C and her family...

It's such a slower pace of life here...

We saw at least 3 or 4 deer already...

A plaque I saw at a roadside snack shake. And yes, Bert and I ate there...

Canada's new "plastic" money (this was not our bill by the way)...

Maple syrup candy...on our way to Ottawa.

A little dog that was howling at passing cars. There was roadwork going on on HWY 17 so we were stopped. The dog had two other dog friends but they were in the driveway. This dog wasn't scared to go right up to the edge of the highway! Feisty!

A pitstop at Tim Horton's (they're literally EVERYWHERE in Canada) - TC's maple glazed donut.

We passed through a little town that used to be a lumber town and is known for their carved wooden statues that you can see by the roadside or in front of businesses.

The drive from the Island to Ottawa? Eight hours!

Having fun and enjoying the local sights and flavors...

Maple Syrup candy sounds interesting. The Mister loves Tim Horton's.

OMG, they love their maple syrup here. and they call the syrup, "l'erable" (not maple).
