I got these boots for our upcoming Portland trip. Yes, lazyass me will actually do physical activity such as, gasp, hiking!
Well, not too much hiking I hope, but enough to make me want to get these insanely butch waterproof leather boots by Timberland.

These are Timberland Lexiss boots that I got from Amazon. The price kept fluctuating but when I got it, it was$159.99. I know....yikes! Then I got P.O.'d because they went down to $139.99 a week later but I didn't bother trying to get the difference because of all the trouble it would take to ship it back and then I lose out on the shipping fee too. Currently, the price went back up to $159.95 (ooh, a nickel less). But I figure, I'll be wearing these bad boys almost every day during our trip and during the random rainy days here in San Diego (all ten of them, ha ha).
The boots are very good quality. The leather is not shiny, but a matte black and did I mention it's waterproof? Perfect for the rainy Pacific Northwest. The stitching is really nice, along with the strong zipper and leather pull ties (smooth), good arch support, plus a moisture absorbing lining (great for your foot sweat, heh)...

The lug sole not only looks cool but is quite comfortable and will serve me well as we pound the pavement around the city or traipse through the forest, or trails or wherever else we go. There is also an adjustable buckle at the top of the boot shaft (she said "shaft") which helps me out since my calves are big. It's not just decorative but functional.

Wore them at least ten times already. Here they are in action today, taken while we were watching TC and her school team's soccer game (it was a tie!).

Weatherproof Jacket from Costco ($26.99 back in 2009; as seen in our Chicago posts), magenta cowl neck top by Mossimo (Target! Clearance - $5.08)! What a bargain, eh!

and surprise, it's not my normal men's BR belt, but a wide black studded Michael Kors belt (bought on clearance at Loehmann's for $12), my 7's, and the boots. The Toki purse is the Americana print (bought on clearance from Karmaloop last year). Clearance stuff is awesome and who doesn't love saving money?
These boots were an investment and so far they are being broken in and working out quite well. I normally don't drop that much on shoes or boots but I would rather pay more for quality boots that will last years than less for some shitty ass shoe or boot that will fall apart after a few weeks.

You're always so stylish even while just watching a soccer game.
Aw, thanks.
Only 3 more games left in the season!
