Return to Seed Bakery

Another beautiful day in Southern California...

We were back in Pasadena, this time with TC...

Breakfast would be at Seed Bakery...

since we liked it so much our last visit.  They have a great selection of breads made from ancient grains as well as various pastries (croissants, muffins, scones, etc) and made to order savory items for breakfast and lunch.

View from our seat in the corner. Later on, it got filled and we were amused by this cute baby in a stroller.

Our flat bread with market greens (kale, chard and red onions plus a sunnyside up egg  (per Bert's choice) and cheese plus a chocolate croissant.  The exterior was so crisp and shattered when bit into.  All croissants should be this way.

The dough for our flat bread was a bit too bready...

TC ordered a spinach frittata sandwich served with more spinache on brioche, made in house of course. She enjoyed the fluffy frittata square in her sandwich.  Very healthy choice.

To be enjoyed later this week, I bought a Kamut loaf and a rustic country batard.  We've never tried any bread made with kamut before. It had an interesting flavor to it that is hard to describe.  Almost like sourdough but nuttier.
